Class Descriptions

  • The majority of adult and kid’s classes are hands-on cooking classes, which means each participant will have their own cooking station, knives and other cookware, as well as ingredients. Occasionally, but not often, participants might have to share ingredients with classmates.
  • Chef’s Table is a sit down dinner where the chef discusses and serves dishes he or she has made. This is not a cooking class.
  • Demonstration Cooking Class is NOT a hands on cooking class. Participants sit and watch food that is being cooked in front of them.

Covid Protocols

Covid-19
  • Masks are optional.

Recipes

Recipes for each hands-on and demonstration cooking class will be emailed 24 to 48 hours after the end of class, in the form of a URL.

Photo Release

For almost every class held in the store for adults and kids we take a photos and on occassion film video for promotional purposes. By signing our Policy and Disclaimer at the beginning of the class, you hereby give permission to Cookology to use your name and photographic likeness in all forms and media for advertising, trade, and any other lawful purposes.

Use of knives & general use disclaimer

All adult classes and classes for children aged 8 and up, use knives under the supervision of our professional chef instructors. Knives are used in a professional manner for food preparation only, and allow class participants to improve food preparation skills. We reserve the right to remove anyone we feel is a danger to themselves or others. Please do not allow your child who is 7 years old or younger to participate in a class above their age that involves knives. If we are not made aware of their age they could severely hurt themselves, as their brains have not developed the ability to properly hold an standard 8″ multi-purpose chef’s knife. If you would like to participate we will be glad to give them a smaller knife, but please let us know.

Participants must wear closed-toed shoes to all cooking classes and classes

You may not participate in any class wearing open-toed shoes such as sandals, high heels, flip flops, etc.   Crocs brand or other similar sandaled shoes are also prohibited. We reserve the right to remove anyone without closed-toed shoes without a refund or credit.

Raw or Undercooked Item Consumption Disclaimer

Any items prepared at Cookology may be served raw or undercooked based on your specification and tastes, or may contain raw or undercooked ingredients. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.
