Job Description – Chef Instructors

POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE AT BOTH COOKOLOGY LOCATIONS, in Sterling and Arlington, Virginia.

A Chef Instructor opportunity at Cookology is open to a chef looking to bring her/his experience, skills and stories to life in front of a captivated audience.

Ideal candidate has teaching experience, understands recipe and class development, and has prior experience managing staff.

You will be supported by staff, given mandatory training, and supported in recipe/class development. Full time positions work between 30-40 hours max per week. We have Monday – Friday full-time position from June – September, AND Weekend positions from Thursday – Sunday.

Job Description for Customer Service Position

Customer Service professional with two years or more experience working on complex web-enabled systems, taking care of customers and working as a team member.

Front of the house duties: Responsible for answering phones, booking events, providing help with registration, greeting customers, working with chefs.

Administration Duties: Track Sawyer and Eventbrite registration software, confirm rosters and confer with chefs. Maintain printed documents, organize GoogleDocs, manage marketing materials, assist with contracts, help post classes, organize employee HR forms. Assisting chefs and other staff.

Personality traits: You don’t get flustered easily. You have patience with customers and staff. You can jump in and wear many hats. You love a fast paced environment and thrive on being busy to get the job done. You believe there are only solutions, not problems.

We have enough hours to offer each person a full-time position. Please do not apply if this will be your second job. We need dedicated staff for all shifts.

SHIFTS –

DAYTIME: 8AM – 4PM TUESDAY – SATURDAY (SUNDAY & MONDAY OFF)

EVENINGS & WEEKEND: We are looking for two rockstars to join our team and alternate hours between weekday and weekend hours. You will never be working back to back weekends, unless you would like weekend only employment.

Monday-Friday 3pm – 9pm, Saturday 9am – 3pm and 3pm-10pm, Sunday 11-8pm
