Recipe: Champagne Poached Shrimp

Try this simple savory dish that impresses with a touch of champagne (and a kick of Sriracha!).

INGREDIENTS

8 shrimp

1/2 cup champagne

1 shallot minced

2 tbsp butter

2 leaves fresh basil minced

Salt and pepper

1/4 tsp Sriracha

DIRECTIONS

Place butter in sauté pan and put over medium heat. Once hot, add shallots and cook for 1 minute. Next add champagne, basil, sriracha, and shrimp. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 4 minutes turning shrimp after 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
